A VOW IN VENGEANCE
COMMERCIAL / 2025
This was a commercial project, with the intention of creating advertisement material for A Vow in Vengence by Jaclyn Rodiguez, to be used in social media templates, neswletter and events. Bringing Draven and Rune to life challenged me to showcase the characters dynamic and use of magic, while still making the composition work when the characters were pulled apart from the background (used in socials and advertisment templates).

For the base sketch (frame 1) I wanted to really focus on the characters, so in order to do that I kept the surroundings very simple.

This is the time I play around with the gradient map, which gives me a brief idea for the lighting (frame 3). Then I proceed to add the base colors (frame 4), which are usually done with a soft build up brush.

At this stage i am refining the render and adding details as i move forward with the piece (frame 6). There is a subtle change of lighting (frame 7) which will create more focus on the characters.
